Vision
WestBrew was created to celebrate the best of the West. We love to showcase some of the beautiful scenery and iconic locations of the West Coast from the shimmering beaches of Southern California to the trails of Yosemite. We showcase beer styles that we love on the West Coast and take pride in delivering delicious, clean brews to you!
Our production facility sits in Vista, CA accompanied by a 2,000 square foot tasting room created for comfort. Our location in Del Mar is a satellite tasting room and restaurant and our downtown location is a satellite tasting room and restaurant!

WestBrew is committed to brewing high-quality craft beer that encompasses the local spirit of the San Diego beer scene. Our team sources ingredients from around the world to create a blend of old-world style beers and new innovative offerings.

Joshua has been brewing beer for over a decade with both of his great grandfathers being brewers. Starting WestBrew furthers that brewer tradition. After 7-years in the Army, Josh received his Bachelor of Science of Construction Management of Architecture at Pratt Institute in NYC and started his own construction company EvergreenCali.

After 7-years in the Army, Josh received his Bachelor of Science of Construction Management of Architecture at Pratt Institute in NYC and started his own construction company EvergreenCali. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY Josh has now been in Southern California for 12 years after falling in love with California. Josh loves the ocean and has a passion for surfing. He’s the proud dad to 3 kids and his wife Heather is his best friend. His perfect day would be sitting at the beach in Cardiff while his kids play and he and his wife share a beer.

Heather was born and raised in San Diego and has a degree in Theology and in 2013, nearly finished her degree in Nutritional Sciences before she stopped to devote all her time to being a mom. She now works hand-in-hand with Josh to create the interior design of all of the WestBrew spaces and helps manage the 3 locations. She is a part of

She is a part of the WestBrew marketing team and is always working to learn and build community. Heather is a mom to three kids and loves the ocean, music, her sweatpants, plants and greenery, and eating her way through life.

Dustin has had a love of beer since he can remember and although he has a degree in Business Management, he has always been drawn to the process of brewing. He speaks fluent German and loves racing and the endless project of upgrading his cars, as he's always had an attraction to riding anything that could go fast. Dustin has come up thr
Dustin has had a love of beer since he can remember and although he has a degree in Business Management, he has always been drawn to the process of brewing. He speaks fluent German and loves racing and the endless project of upgrading his cars, as he's always had an attraction to riding anything that could go fast. Dustin has come up through the ranks of big San Diego breweries, including Burgeon Beer Co. and Rough Draft Brewing, where he was heading brewing operations before he came over to WestBrew. Dustin puts his heart into his work and the people around him. He's a natural leader and we're lucky to have him at the helm!

Doug got out the Navy in 2017 and fell in love with cooking after first going down a much different career path in medicine. He started with grilling for friends in 2016 and realized how much he loved cooking for others and decided to attend culinary school at the Art Institute of California, San Diego in late 2017. There he won two bron
Doug got out the Navy in 2017 and fell in love with cooking after first going down a much different career path in medicine. He started with grilling for friends in 2016 and realized how much he loved cooking for others and decided to attend culinary school at the Art Institute of California, San Diego in late 2017. There he won two bronze metals through competitions held by the American Culinary Federation. He picked up his first full time line cook position in February of 2019 and quickly worked his way up the ranks, working at a few different restaurants, learning under some incredible chefs. He took his first chef position at Pacific Terrace in 2020 and joined WestBrew in December of 2021. He helped open the WestBrew Downtown location before becoming the Executive Chef at WestBrew Del Mar. Doug has gone above and beyond to help manage WestBrew since he joined the team and has created a stellar menu for the Del Mar location. We are lucky to have him!
